Shelby Taylor Kolb, CHDM, has a strong work history in marketing and public relations roles within the hospitality industry. Shelby Taylor began their career at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in 2000 as a Corporate Manager of Public Relations, where they focused on developing stories for U.S. media regarding hotels in the Asia-Pacific region. From 2002 to 2006, Shelby served as the Director of Public Relations at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, overseeing media relations, promotions, crisis management, and establishing key relationships with various stakeholders. Shelby Taylor then joined the California Health & Longevity Institute in 2008 as the Director of Public Relations, before transitioning to the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California in 2006 as the Director of Public Relations. In this role, they secured national, international, regional, and local coverage for the hotel and managed marketing communications, including e-marketing, advertising, and direct mail. Since 2013, Shelby has been the Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Barnsley Resort, where they oversee all advertising, digital media, public relations, website, strategic partnerships, and social media.
Shelby Taylor Kolb holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from The University of Georgia, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. During the same period, they also pursued a degree in Public Relations and Journalism from the University of Georgia - Henry W. Grady College of Journalism. In January 2019, Shelby obtained a certification as a Certified Hospitality Digital Marketer from HSMAI.
