Alexander Vandeweghe

Water Resources Engineering Intern at Barr Engineering Company

Alexander Vandeweghe is an Environmental Engineering graduate from the University of Michigan, expected to complete the degree in April 2023. Currently serving as a Water Resources Engineering Intern at Barr Engineering Co. since May 2023, Alexander has previously held intern roles at the same company in the summer of 2022 and at the Huron River Watershed Council in 2021, where Alexander focused on water resources design and stormwater monitoring. Additionally, Alexander has significant research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability, contributing to the development of a statistical water level forecasting tool and authoring multiple conference abstracts and a peer-reviewed journal article. Alexander also conducted maintenance assessments for a network of water sensors within the Digital Water Lab at the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
