Erica Hill

Erica Hill is a Geotechnical Engineer at Barr Engineering Co. since July 2021, where responsibilities include installing and monitoring earthwork instrumentation, conducting field investigations for mine tailings dam stability, and performing geotechnical analyses for renewable energy projects. Prior to this role, Erica served as a Student Engineering Intern in the Geotechnical Unit at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, where skills in operating geophysical instruments and testing geosynthetics were developed. Earlier internship experience in the Maintenance Unit involved highway bridge inspections and GIS mapping of culverts. Erica holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has further education from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
