Olivier Girardeau

Olivier Girardeau is a seasoned professional in sustainable finance and securities regulation, currently serving as the Director of Sustainable Finance Oversight and Supervision at the Autorité des marchés financiers (Québec) since 2017. Olivier has held various roles within the organization, including Acting Strategic Advisor on National and International Affairs and Senior Advisor on Sustainable Finance. Additionally, Olivier is an active member of the IOSCO Principles and Standards Assessment Committee and the Sustainable Finance Taskforce, and contributes to the Corporation Finance ESG Project Group at NASAA. As a lawyer with the Barreau du Québec, Olivier has experience in securities law, having previously served as Legal Counsel at Montréal Exchange and as a Securities Lawyer at Langlois Avocats. Olivier's educational background includes a Global Certificate from Harvard Law School and a Certificate in Securities Law and Practice from Osgoode Hall Law School.
