Richard Barley

Richard Barley serves as the Head of HR - APAC at Barrick Gold Corporation since September 2022. Prior to this role, Richard held various senior positions at Bis, including Chief People and Sustainability Officer, where responsibilities encompassed the development and execution of the People and Sustainability Strategy as part of the Global Executive Team. Richard also led the People and Culture Team across Australia and Indonesia, focusing on employee engagement and strategy implementation for a workforce of approximately 1,750 employees. Additional roles included HR Manager and Senior HR Business Partner, where Richard provided HR solutions across multiple sites and collaborated with executive teams to enhance organizational capability. Richard's educational background includes advanced degrees in Human Resource Management, Criminology, and various executive education programs from reputable institutions.
