Lorena Vela

Lorena Vela is a seasoned accountant with extensive experience in various financial roles. Currently serving as Accountant II and CPA at Barron Collier Companies since October 2020, Lorena previously held the position of Director of Finance at Hodges University from June 2019 to October 2020. Prior to that, Lorena worked as CPA and Assurance Manager at Rehmann from January 2018 until the merger with the firm, having served as CPA and Audit Manager at Wiebel, Hennells & Carufe, PLLC from June 2005 to December 2017. Lorena holds a Master's of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University, completed from 2007 to 2009 and 2001 to 2007, respectively.
