James Carpenter

James Carpenter has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James has held various roles in different companies. James'smost recent position was as the Director and Client Portfolio Manager at Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss, which they have held since March 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Russell Investments, where they held multiple roles, including Portfolio Manager, Head of Global Equities Research, Senior Research Analyst Global Equities, and Senior Portfolio Analyst. James also has experience as a Senior Accounting Manager at Russell Investments. Before joining Russell Investments, James worked as a Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young LLP. James began their career as a volunteer representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Throughout their career, James has developed skills in portfolio management, equity research, accounting, financial analysis, and team management.

James Carpenter obtained a Master of Accountancy degree and a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University in 1995. In addition, they obtained a Certificate in ESG Investing from CFA UK in October 2021.
