Elsa Nico

Elsa Nico, MD, is an incoming PGY-1 Neurosurgery Resident at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, set to begin in May 2024. Currently a Neurosurgery Research Intern at the Barrow Neurological Institute since July 2022, Elsa is focused on the pathophysiology and surgical treatment efficacy of cerebrovascular diseases. Elsa attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where a Doctor of Medicine was earned in 2023, and previously obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from The Johns Hopkins University in 2018. Additional professional experiences include roles as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Northwestern Medicine, a Clinical Research Assistant and Study Consultant at Johns Hopkins Medicine, and various tutoring and therapy positions.
