Matthew Allen

Trustee at Barry University

Matthew Allen is currently a trustee at Barry University. Prior to that, they worked as a resident coordinator at Florida Atlantic University from July 2003 to January 2008. In this role, they were responsible for managing a residence hall containing 250-600 students, as well as overseeing the 24-hour on-call duty for campus emergencies. Matthew also supervised and selected 7-20 Resident Assistants and student support staff, oversaw the administration of area offices, and served as a liaison for custodial and maintenance personnel. Additionally, they implemented and interpreted housing policy to staff and students, provided crisis and mediation intervention, and assisted in the coordination of the annual “Night Breakfast” event.
