Ferny grew up in San Antonio and started playing tennis at the age of nine. He attended Ronald Reagan High School and was ranked number one for most of his time in high school. He also achieved a Top 50 Super Champ ranking in Texas and in the Nation through the USTA ranking system. He attends UTSA pursuing his degree in Marketing and Psychology. He has been number 1 in the state in Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Mix Doubles in the Open Division through the USTA.
