Bob Franklin

Bob Franklin has extensive experience in public service and transportation management, currently serving as Interim District Secretary at BART since January 1998. His roles at BART include Director of Customer Access & Accessibility and Director, President of the BART Board of Directors. Prior to BART, Bob Franklin was the Executive Staff Assistant to the Controller-Treasurer and served as Chairperson and Director of the Capitol Corridor Board of Directors from December 2004 to June 2012. Bob Franklin began his career as a firefighter with the United States Forest Service between May 1989 and October 1991. Bob Franklin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Stanford University, earned between 1982 and 1986.
