Brian Soland is currently the Manager of Rail Planning at BART, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they gained extensive experience in various planning and project management roles, including Senior Planner at MIG and Transportation Planner VI at CDM Smith. Brian has also worked as a Project Manager at TransLink and served as a Lead Planner for Major Studies. They earned a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from California State University-Sacramento.
