Christopher Simi

Christopher Simi currently serves as the Budget Director at BART since February 2020. Prior experience includes the role of Deputy Commissioner for Finance at the City of Philadelphia Department of Human Services from October 2016 to February 2020 and serving as a Senior Fiscal and Policy Analyst and Fiscal and Policy Analyst for the City and County of San Francisco between December 2013 and October 2016. Christopher also played a significant role in affordable housing projects as Deputy Director and Project Manager at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development from September 2007 to April 2011. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Policy degree from UC Berkeley (2011-2013) and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Columbia University (2003-2007). Prior to these roles, Christopher worked as a Researcher at Columbia University, geocoding a digitized road network in Nairobi, Kenya.
