Daniel Silva

Daniel Silva is an experienced manager in the transportation sector, currently serving as the Manager of Planning & Logistics at BART since 2018, where oversight includes directing a team of 48 personnel in railcar maintenance and repair operations. Prior to this, Daniel held various roles at Amtrak from 2007 to 2018, culminating as a Senior Business Systems Specialist, where responsibilities included ensuring system integrity and leading maintenance function tracking. Daniel's career began in the US Marine Corps, followed by managerial positions at Rinker Materials and progression through multiple supervisory roles at Amtrak, demonstrating a strong foundation in mechanical systems and leadership. Daniel holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership from The Johns Hopkins University, along with a BBA and an AS in Mechanical Engineering from Miami Dade College.
