Edward Wright

Edward Wright is a BART Board Director, elected in November 2024 to represent District 9. Previously, they served as Chief of Staff to Supervisor Gordon Mar from 2019 to 2023, where they authored and passed significant legislation and managed public communications. Edward also held roles as Events Director for Jane Kim's mayoral campaign in 2018 and Campaign Manager for Gordon Mar's successful campaign that same year. With a Bachelor's Degree in Cinema Production and a minor in Political Philosophy from San Francisco State University, they have a diverse background in political organizing and communications. Edward currently serves as a Board Member for the Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority.
