Harold Brown

Principal Engineer

Harold Brown is a highly experienced engineer with a diverse background in project management and capital planning. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at SF Bay Area Rapid Transit since April 2001, Harold has spearheaded the automatic fare collection modernization program. Previously, Harold managed the transfer of decommissioned military bases to civilian authorities as Base Conversion Manager at Naval Facilities Engineering Command from August 1996 to April 2001. With a solid foundation built during tenure as Group Manager at Naval Aviation Depot, overseeing a $100 million military construction program, and earlier roles as Project Engineer at Foster Wheeler Environmental and Product Technical Engineer at Procter & Gamble, Harold has demonstrated expertise in both public sector and private sector engineering projects. Harold holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and has additional educational experience from Johnson C. Smith University.
