John Chen

John Chen, P.E., PMP, CCM currently serves as the Construction Coordination Manager at BART since December 2018. With extensive experience in engineering and construction management, John Chen has held various positions, including Director and Construction Manager at PGH Wong Engineering Inc. since July 2007 and Deputy Construction Manager at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) for the Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension Project from February 2015 to January 2019. Prior roles include Resident Engineer at BART and the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and Construction Engineer at Bechtel. John Chen holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering and Management from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
