Kamala Parks

Kamala Parks is a Principal Planner at BART, specializing in transportation planning, zoning, and land use. They have significant experience in both public and private sectors, having managed multiple projects including the implementation of Assembly Bill 2923 and the Safe Routes to BART program. Kamala has also played various roles in the music community as a drummer and writer, contributing to bands and organizing events. They hold a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and have been involved in numerous professional organizations, such as serving as president of the San Francisco Bay Area section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
