Karen Goetz, M.S., has extensive experience in project and construction management, currently working with the Bay Area Rapid Transit District since March 2000. In this role, Karen leads dynamic teams to successfully complete construction projects, while assessing and managing the impacts of construction on a complex metropolitan transit system. Earlier in Karen's career, a position was held as a firefighter on an initial attack crew at Yellowstone National Park in June 1974. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from Colgate University and a Master of Science from San Francisco State University. Additionally, education includes a certificate in Transit & Paratransit Management from the University of the Pacific and a Federal Law Enforcement Certification in Critical Incident Response/Special Police Operations from Los Guilocos Academy.
