Mahendra Gautam

Mahendra Gautam is an experienced construction engineer with extensive expertise in track and traction power, currently serving as Principal Construction Engineer at BART since September 2018. Previously held roles include Senior Construction Engineer and Construction Engineer at BART, and Assistant Engineer for the City of Oakland, where significant projects included the design of Oakland's first protected two-way cycle track. With military service as a Technical Engineer in both the U.S. Army Reserve and the U.S. Army, Mahendra has a strong background in technical engineering, survey, and construction management. Earlier career experiences include project engineering at Carlson, Barbee & Gibson, Inc. and design engineering roles at Riechers Spence & Associates, enhancing infrastructure projects across several regions. Mahendra holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
