Priya Mathur

Priya Mathur is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director of Funding Strategy at BART, a role held since 1998, where responsibilities include leading capital investment planning and overseeing teams focused on financial planning and funding advocacy. Additionally, Priya Mathur has held significant leadership positions, including President of Trustees United for Justice and Equality and Board Member at Astia since January 2019. Previously, Priya Mathur served as the Board President of the California Public Employees' Retirement System from January 2018 to January 2019, contributing to the protection and growth of the pension fund. Prior experience includes consulting for state and local governments on municipal bonds at PFM from 1995 to 1998. Priya Mathur holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Connecticut College.
