Susan Poliwka is currently the Principal Planner at BART, where they leverage their extensive experience in urban design and planning. Previously, they served as a Senior Planner at BART from 2015 to 2020 and held various roles including Planning Project Manager at HDR and City of Hoboken’s Division Head for Mobility and Planning. Susan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and advanced degrees in City Planning and Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, they participated in the Fulbright Program focused on Urban Development in Ukraine.
