Tim Chan

Tim Chan is an experienced transportation planner currently serving as the Group Manager of Stations Planning at BART, a position held since April 2006. In this role, Tim Chan oversees station area and multi-modal access planning, manages station improvements, and leads strategic planning initiatives, including the Station Modernization Program which emphasizes capital delivery, customer experience, sustainability, and placemaking. Prior to this, Tim Chan worked as a Transportation Planner at VTA from October 2001 to April 2006, where responsibilities included managing various planning initiatives for the BART Extension to Silicon Valley Project and overseeing the Public Outreach Program. Tim Chan holds a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley.
