Barbara Thompson is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Currently serving as General Manager at Best Western Plus Island Palms and Marina since March 2001, Barbara has demonstrated a proven track record in performance and profitability. Previously, Barbara held the position of General Manager at Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle from March 1987 to October 2021, where responsibilities included providing leadership and direction to the hotel management team, ensuring high standards of service, and acting as a key liaison between clients and hotel staff. Barbara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Tourism Administration (HRTA) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
