Richard Bartlett started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2005 as an Executive, specializing in corporate governance and risk management. Richard worked there until 2008, during which they qualified as an accountant and gained experience in audit and assurance. Richard also had a secondment to the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform. In 2008, they joined The Bartlett Group as Joint Managing Director, and their role there is ongoing.

Richard Bartlett attended the University of Leeds from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a first-class BA (Hons) degree in International Relations. In the same year, they also started studying at the Chartered Insurance Institute and completed their studies in 2009, obtaining the ACII degree in Insurance. Starting in 2005 and continuing until 2008, Richard pursued further education at ICAEW, earning the ACA degree in Accountancy.
