David Taylor, P.E. has extensive work experience in the engineering field. David is currently serving as the Director of Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering at Barton Associates, Inc. since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Gannett Fleming from October 2013 to September 2022, starting as the Chief Mechanical Engineer and eventually transitioning into an oversight position. During their time at Gannett Fleming, they led a design group, wrote specification masters, and managed the local technical training program. Before Gannett Fleming, Taylor worked at O'Neal, Inc. as the Mechanical Department Head from September 2011 to September 2013, where they were responsible for overseeing mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design. David also generated fees for proposals and met with clients. Prior to that, they worked at HCYU and Associates, Inc. as a Senior Mechanical Engineer from August 2009 to July 2011. Lastly, Taylor was a Principal and founding partner at Taylor Engineering-Mechanical Consultants, Inc. from January 2000 to August 2008, where they managed a group of engineers, designers, and drafters and played a significant role in all phases of design and construction.
David Taylor, P.E. obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida in 1991.
