Taino J. Palermo

Taino J. Palermo currently serves as the Legal Director at the Center for Indigenous Peoples Rights and is an Attorney at Barton Gilman LLP. In addition, Taino holds positions as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Roger Williams University School of Law and as a faculty member at College Unbound. With prior experience as a judicial extern at the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island and as an adjunct faculty member at Roger Williams University - University College, Taino has demonstrated a commitment to legal education and practice. Taino co-founded the Latino Professional Network of Syracuse and has experience as a community organizer with the Near West Side Initiative. As the former President of Palermo Consulting & Nonprofit Solutions, Taino specialized in modernizing nonprofit structures. Taino holds a Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University School of Law and a Doctor of Education, as well as a Master of Arts in Business Communications.
