James Benak

James Benak is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in litigation strategy, governance, trials, and appeals across various legal areas, including antitrust, labor, and intellectual property. Currently serving as Of Counsel at Barton LLP in Chicago since May 2021, James has also been the founder and member of James D. Benak Attorney LLC since October 2008, providing strategic legal counsel to regulated industries and manufacturing companies. Previously, James co-founded Tetzlaff Law Offices LLC and served as Vice President and General Counsel at Wallace Computer Services, Inc. Additionally, James held significant roles at Jenner & Block and Union Pacific Railroad. James holds a JD from Creighton University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
