Leland Thomasset

Design & Manufacturing at Baru

Leland Thomasset has a long and varied work experience. Leland began their career in 1979 as a cabinet maker for Bedford Woodworks and Bretton Woodworks. In 1989, they became the owner of Taghkanic Woodworking LLC. In 2013, they were appointed to the Board of Directors and former president of the Cabinet Makers Association. In 2014, they became the President of Pawling Closet Company. Most recently, in 2018, they took on the role of Design and Manufacturing at Baru.

Leland Thomasset attended Dexter Regional High School and then The Wendell Castle School, where they obtained an AOS in Furniture Design and Manufacture in 1997. Leland then attended LaGuardia Community College and graduated in 2017 with a Goldman Sachs 10KSB Graduate Chort 20 in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies Business. In 2018, they obtained a Procore Certified: Subcontractor certification from Procore Technologies.
