Tom Baruch

Tom Baruch, Managing Director and Founder of Baruch Future Ventures since November 2010, leads a venture capital and family office fund focused on climate-sensitive and resource-limited markets, currently overseeing a portfolio of 27 companies across diverse sectors including energy and healthcare. Baruch serves as an Advisor for Breakthrough Energy Ventures, 8VC, and Humanity United, and holds a Board Member position at the Foundation for Climate Restoration. As a Leadership Council Member at Cyclotron Road, Baruch supports technology innovators embedded at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. An experienced board member, Baruch was the Chairman of Codexis, Inc. until July 2020 and previously held the role of Partner Emeritus at Formation | 8 Partners and Chairman at Intermolecular. Baruch is a Trustee Emeritus at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where a Bachelor of Science in Engineering was earned, and also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University.
