Salem Mohammed Al-Marri has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Salem Mohammed is currently serving as the CFO at Barzan Holdings since January 2018. Prior to this, they held the role of Board Member at Qatar First Bank from April 2019 to March 2022.
Salem Mohammed has also worked as the Director of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Culture and Sports from December 2016 to December 2017. Before that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Msheireb Properties from July 2013 to December 2016.
Earlier in their career, they held positions such as AGM Financial Group at QIB from June 2012 to June 2013 and Finance Director at Qatar Mining from January 2011 to June 2012. Salem Mohammed also held a significant position as the Head of Companies Control Division at Audit Bureau-Qatar (ABQ) from May 2000 to December 2010.
In addition to their professional experience, Salem Mohammed Al-Marri worked as an Auditor at Moore Stephens, where they were seconded from ABQ. Salem Mohammed worked in both the Doha and UK offices of Moore Stephens from November 2006 to August 2007. Prior to that, they worked as an Auditor at Deloitte from October 2003 to April 2004.
Salem Mohammed Al-Marri has an extensive education history. Salem Mohammed obtained a High Diploma in Financial Strategy from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued an Executive MBA with a focus on Reinventing Business for Emerging Markets at HEC Paris, completing it from 2014 to 2015. In 2012, they earned a Master of Science degree in Islamic Finance from Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies - QFIS. Salem Mohammed'sacademic journey began in 1994 when they attended Qatar University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business & Economics, majoring in Economics, which they completed in 1997.
