Will Hetherington

Will Hetherington is an experienced publishing professional currently serving as the Head of Publications at the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) since February 2024. With a background in journalism, Will has been a freelance journalist since August 2017 and previously held the position of Editor at Gundog Journal from January 2019 to October 2023. Prior roles include Editor of Shooting Gazette at Time Inc. from June 2004 to August 2017, and Editor of Campaign Update at Countryside Alliance from 2003 to 2004. Will began a career in publishing as Assistant Editor of Voice of Shooting at the British Association for Shooting and Conservation from 2000 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Hull and a Post-graduate NCTJ Level 1 in Journalism from the National Council for Teaching Journalism.
