Hervé Courthion

Manager, Customer Engagement at BASE life science

Hervé Courthion has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Hervé is currently working at BASE life science as a Manager of Customer Engagement. In this role, they are responsible for supporting clients from the life science industry in optimizing their digital investments and bridging the gap between business and technology. Hervé also acts as a scrum master, project manager, business analyst, and data analyst in IT organizations. Additionally, they serve as an Alliance Manager for one of BASE's partnerships.

Prior to their current role, Hervé worked at GSK Consumer Healthcare as an Innovation Scientist in the Respiratory Category. Here, they delivered qualified early stage projects and supported their transition into the development pipeline. Hervé also scouted for novel technologies and provided support for the science story of innovation projects. Hervé demonstrated strong project and team leadership skills, successfully delivering qualified concepts into the Respiratory Category pipeline and leading R&D teams through the proof-of-concept phase of product development with third-party partners.

Before joining GSK Consumer Healthcare, Hervé worked at Apidel SA as a Development Scientist from 2013 to 2016. Hervé also gained experience as a Graduate Visiting Student at MIT & Boston Children's Hospital from 2012 to 2013.

Hervé Courthion's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Life Sciences. Hervé completed this program in 2011.

Following their bachelor's degree, Hervé Courthion continued their education at EPFL and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Hervé completed this program in 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Hervé Courthion has also acquired several certifications. These include a SAFe 5 Practitioner certification obtained from Scaled Agile, Inc. in July 2022, an Excel 2016: Managing and Analyzing Data certification from LinkedIn in May 2020, a Learning Power BI Desktop certification from LinkedIn in April 2020, a Design Thinking: Customer Experience certification from LinkedIn in January 2020, a Scrum: The Basics certification from LinkedIn in October 2019, a CAPM certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2016, an IELTS certification with a score of 7.5 from the British Council in 2011, a Goethe-Zertifikat C1 certification from the Goethe Institut in 2007, and a Veeva CRM Associate White Belt certification from Veeva Systems in January 2021.
