Jacob Winkler has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jacob began their career in 1995 as a Post Doc at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they worked on computer simulations for solid fuel cells. In 1996, they joined Cook Medical as a Microbiologist, responsible for sterilization control and database management. Jacob then moved on to Novozymes, where they worked as a Chemist, specializing in project management and application development, including collaborations with Roche.

In 2001, Jacob joined Novo Nordisk A/S as a Project Director, leading IT projects focused on security, infrastructure, global workflows, and change control. During their time at Novo Nordisk, they upgraded the company's Tier 1 network and implemented electronic case handling for change control processes globally.

Since 2015, Jacob has been associated with BASE life science, where they have held various roles. Lastly, in May 2019, they completed the Leading SAFe Course (4.6) offered by SCALED AGILE LIMITED.
