Caoimhe Vallely-Gilroy has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Caoimhe is currently the Director Healthcare Innovation - DayOne (ad-Interim) at Basel Area Business & Innovation, starting in April 2023. Caoimhe is also an Independent Advisor - Pharma and Lifesciences at Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland (HIRANI) since January 2023.

Previously, Caoimhe Vallely-Gilroy worked as a Consultant Chief Clinical Research Officer and Head of Biomarker Discovery at Allelica, Inc from February 2023 to May 2023. Prior to that, they held various positions at the Healthcare Business of Merck, including Global Head of Digital Health & Therapeutics from January 2021 to January 2023, and Head of Data Analytics and Strategy, Healthcare from November 2019 to January 2021.

Caoimhe Vallely-Gilroy has a diverse education history. Caoimhe started their higher education journey at Queen's University Belfast, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Genetics from 2004 to 2007.
