Martin Jordan

Martin Jordan has extensive work experience in the field of media and public relations. Martin started their career as a freelance contributor for Radio Raurach and Nordschweiz - Basler Volksblatt from 1986 to 1992. Martin then worked as a regional journalist at Schweizer Radio DRS from 1989 to 1999. In 2001, Martin became an overseas correspondent for Basler Zeitung, Stuttgarter Zeitung, Frankfurter Rundschau, and Verlag Der Tagesspiegel GmbH. Martin held this role until 2005 when they joined SRF - Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen as a editor until 2013. From 2013 until their most recent position, Martin served as a spokesperson at Universitätsspital Basel (USB). Currently, they are working as the Manager of Media & Public Relations at Basel Area Business & Innovation.

Martin Jordan attended the Realgymnasium from 1977 to 1985 and obtained a Matura Typus B degree. Martin then enrolled at the University of Basel from 1986 to 1992, where they pursued a Lizenziat/Master degree. Their areas of study included Soziologie, Deutsche Sprachwissenschaft, and Volkskunde.
