Nicole Wong, CFE, has a strong background in fraud and risk management. Nicole most recently worked as the Manager of Fraud & Payments Risk at Baselane, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, Nicole worked at Affirm as the Manager of Risk Operations, where they oversaw a team of investigators and team leads, prepared the team on fraud trends and attacks, and collaborated with other teams to build and implement fraud tools. Before joining Affirm, Nicole served as the Manager of Fraud Operations at Patreon, where they managed day-to-day operations, provided feedback to the team, and delegated tasks effectively. Nicole also has experience as a Senior Trust & Safety Analyst at YouCaring, where they established a Trust & Safety department and identified fraud trends. Nicole began their career as a Fraud Specialist and later a Fraud Investigator at Prosper Marketplace, where they analyzed financial transactions, investigated suspicious activity, and contributed to fraud prevention efforts. Nicole Wong, CFE, holds an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Administration of Justice from the City College of San Francisco. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Lowell High School. In August 2019, they obtained the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
