Sampo Immonen

Sampo Immonen started working as a Warehouse Worker at Barona in January 2015. In 2018, they worked as an R&D Trainee at ABB, where they maintained a global database system and performed PCBA testing. Sampo also designed a prototype relational database for centralized tracking of product testing. In 2020, Sampo worked at Patria Aviation Oy as a Master's thesis worker, focusing on building a data augmentation library using Python for Finnish NLP tasks. Sampo also implemented a BERT inspired test setup using PyTorch. Currently, Sampo is a Software Engineer at Basemark, starting in October 2021.

Sampo Immonen earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Aalto University between 2015 and 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Aalto University from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, in 2019 and 2020, they studied at Czech Technical University in Prague, where they also earned a Master's degree in Computer Science.
