Tero Sarkkinen

Tero Sarkkinen has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tero is the Founder & CEO of Basemark, a software company specializing in tools for autonomous and connected vehicles. Tero founded Basemark in 2015 and continues to hold this position. Tero is also the Executive Chairman of the Board at Basemark from May 2019 to January 2021.

In addition, Tero has been involved in various roles as an investor and advisor in several companies. Tero is an investor in Flashnode, a company focusing on business process automation and integration. Tero is also an investor and advisor in L7 Drive Ltd., an electric powertrain technology company, and CollectiveCrunch, an AI-as-a-Service provider for the forestry and paper industries. Prior to founding Basemark, Tero was actively involved in Rightware, a company they founded in 2009. Tero's earlier experience includes a managerial role at Elisa Oyj, where they focused on e-commerce.

Tero Sarkkinen completed an Executive Program for Growing Companies in Business Administration at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2006. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1998, Tero studied at Aalto University, where they obtained a M.SC. (Econ. and BA) degree with a focus on international business, finance, private and commercial law, and Spanish.
