Justin Hamer

Justin Hamer has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Justin is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of BaseStack since September 2022. Before that, they worked as the Chief Executive Officer of BaseCamp Group Ltd from December 2021 to September 2022. Justin played a key role in the growth of the company, overseeing real estate investment, development, and operations across Northern and Central Europe.

Prior to their role at BaseCamp Group Ltd, Justin served as the Chief Operating Officer of BaseCamp Real Estate Partners Ltd, BaseCamp Group Ltd, and BaseCamp Student from March 2015 to February 2022. In this position, they advised the European Student Housing Fund on acquisitions and developments in Germany, Scandinavia, Finland, and Poland. Justin also managed and operated student accommodation under the BaseCamp Student brand.

Justin's earlier experience includes working as a Shareholder and Head of Tax and Funds at Greenberg Traurig Maher LLP from September 2009 to February 2015. Justin specialized in real estate fund formation, documentation, and structuring, as well as providing advice on investments, financing, and joint ventures.

Furthermore, Justin served as a Non-Executive Director at Crowdcube Limited from December 2011 to September 2014, where they provided guidance during the company's initial growth phase and funding rounds.

Starting their career at Paul Hastings LLP in October 2004, Justin held the role of Partner and Vice Chair London. Justin led the Tax and Private Funds Group and played a significant role in the formation of private equity real estate funds.
