Alan Reed is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program and project management within the fields of research informatics and renewable energy. Currently serving as Program Manager for Research Informatics at BASF since August 2018, Alan previously held various leadership roles at Bayer, including IT Manager and Senior Project Manager from 2013 to 2018, where responsibilities encompassed managing large teams and implementing global IT strategies. Alan's career at Bayer, spanning from 1989 to 2012, involved significant contributions such as leading the IT integration of Aventis CropScience, managing R&D IT systems in Japan, and overseeing multimillion-dollar IT services for Bayer CropScience in North America. In addition to corporate roles, Alan has been an active Renewable Energy Consultant since 2013, notably contributing to projects with North Carolina Interfaith Power & Light.
