Feng Gao

Feng Gao is an experienced professional in plant breeding and biotechnology, currently serving as an Oilseed Discovery Breeder at BASF since January 2021. Prior to this role, Feng worked at Bayer Crop Science as a Senior Breeder and Discovery Scientist from August 2018 to December 2020. Feng's career began at Monsanto Company, where responsibilities included roles as a Discovery Scientist and Breeder Associate from January 2014 to August 2018. Additionally, Feng gained valuable experience as a Research Associate at the University of Manitoba between April 2007 and December 2013, focusing on cereal biotechnology and assisting in plant molecular marker breeding during a postdoctoral position. Feng obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Molecular Biology from Shandong University, completing the degree in 2006.
