Jim Delaney is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the coatings industry. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor at BASF since November 2009, Jim focuses on various technologies including waterbase, solventbase, coil coatings, and powder, particularly emphasizing Heat Management. Prior to BASF, Jim worked for Ciba Specialty Chemicals for 19 years as a Regional Technical Advisor in Pigments, following the acquisition of Ciba by BASF. Jim's career began at PPG Industries, where from January 1976 to April 1990, product development encompassed electrocoat, industrial coatings, adhesives, sealants, and plastisols. Jim holds a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Northern Illinois University.
