Matthias Orth serves as the Director of Construction Management at BASF since October 2016, leading a team of approximately 75 individuals in the Construction Management of LCPs across Europe. Previously, Matthias held roles including Maintenance Manager, overseeing a team of 50 responsible for the maintenance of the central tank farm and utilities at BASF Antwerp, as well as Turnaround Manager, managing significant shutdowns in the chlorine plant at BASF Ludwigshafen. Additionally, Matthias worked as an Engineering Manager for a fast-track project and completed engineering tasks for various projects in the infrastructure department at BASF Ludwigshafen from August 2013 to July 2016. Matthias earned a Doctor's Degree in Energy Technology and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Maschinenbau from Technische Universität Darmstadt, along with a Diplom-Ingenieur in Maschinenbau from Chalmers University of Technology.
