Brian Smith

Brian Smith has extensive experience in the financial and real estate industries. Brian currently holds the role of Corporate Vice President and Group Manager at Northwest Bank, where they lead the commercial construction credit administration and risk management function. Prior to this, they worked as a Vice President and Vertical Manager at S&T Bank, establishing and managing the commercial construction credit analysis and administration vertical.

Brian's previous roles include Senior Vice President at CONSTRUCTION MONITORING CONSULTANTS INC (CMC), where they provided construction due diligence advisory and credit risk consulting services. Brian also served as an Executive Vice President at First Amherst Development Group, overseeing the company's financial and development operations.

Brian has a strong background in commercial real estate finance, having held positions at The Community Preservation Corporation, Bank of America, HSBC Bank USA, KD Norwood & Co., and KeyBank. In these roles, they gained experience in debt origination, equity underwriting, relationship management, asset management, and portfolio management.
