Ravi Shankar

Ravi Shankar is a seasoned professional in the field of plant pathology, currently serving as the Seed Pathology Lead at BASF Vegetables since June 2018. Prior to this role, Ravi held the position of Seed Pathology Lead at Bayer CropScience Vegetable Seeds for a brief period and worked as a Plant Pathologist at Tropicaseeds, where responsibilities included establishing a plant pathology laboratory and conducting extensive seed pathology studies. Experience in plant pathology also includes working at Ambrosia Vegetables Pvt Ltd, where Ravi monitored greenhouse vegetable diseases and performed laboratory diagnoses. Earlier experience includes a role as a Senior Research Fellow at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, focusing on disease forecasting and the diagnosis of plant diseases in horticultural and agricultural crops. Ravi holds a Master of Science in Agriculture with a specialization in Plant Pathology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, and a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the same institution.
