Susanne Hein

Susanne Hein is an experienced ecotoxicologist with a robust background in environmental science and toxicology. Currently serving as an Ecotoxicologist and Executive Professional AP Expert Services at BASF since July 2019, Susanne has prior experience as the head of a testing laboratory at Umweltbundesamt, focusing on the evaluation of methods for managing health pests, specifically rodents. Earlier roles include positions at Julius Kuehn-Institut as a scientific employee, where research centered on the recovery of common vole populations and method development for field monitoring. Susanne's expertise is supported by a Ph.D. in Landscape Ecology from the University of Münster, alongside a Master of Science in Toxicology from the University of Düsseldorf and a Bachelor of Science in Biosciences from the University of Münster. Additional experience includes a stint as a scientific employee at tier3 solutions and Bayer Crop Science, and as a freelance journalist for Westfälische Nachrichten.
