Shawn Matthijetz

Shawn Matthijetz is currently employed as a Legal Clerk at Basham & Scott LLC since April 2024. Shawn has extensive experience in organizational leadership, serving as the Texas Collegiate DECA State Advisor and previously holding positions such as Executive Vice President and State President, where responsibility included managing statewide projects and oversight of multiple vice presidents. Legal experience includes roles as a Law Clerk at Seiler Rapp & Guerra, PLLC and Stilwell, Earl & Apostolakis, LLP, focusing on drafting legal documents and conducting research. Shawn also has a strong background in student government leadership, having served as Student Body President and Vice-President at Concordia University Texas. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and a Bachelor’s degree in Honors Political Science and International Business from Concordia University Texas.
