Patrick Merrigan

Patrick Merrigan has extensive work experience in the field of IT operations and security. From 1998 to the present, they have worked at Basic American Foods, where they held the role of Director, IT Operations & Security. In this position, they played a key role in leading the company's transformation initiative by implementing a new SaaS solution for various aspects of the business. Patrick provided strategic direction and technical oversight for the design and delivery of the required IT infrastructure, including client technologies, network infrastructure, and security. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Enterprise Architect at Basic American Foods from 1998 to 2004, where they managed projects related to infrastructure, enterprise applications, and business reporting.

Before their time at Basic American Foods, Patrick Merrigan worked at Textainer from 1994 to 1998. In this role as a Technical Lead, they were responsible for the daily operations of the company's data center and network. Patrick managed various aspects of IT infrastructure, including network infrastructure, server and storage systems, database administration, email, and application hosting. Patrick also designed and supported a SQL Server replication model to synchronize data globally.

Patrick Merrigan earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Waterford Institute of Technology between 1984 and 1989. In 2010, they completed a Leadership Program in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management at Santa Clara University. From 2015 to 2017, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they pursued a Program in Leadership & Management, also in the field of Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management.
