Mark Jones

Mark E. Jones PhD PMP is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as the Head of Global Affairs and a member of the management team at Basilea Pharmaceutica since March 2009. Responsibilities include overseeing company strategy, policy development, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. Mark has held various leadership roles within Basilea, including Head of Development and Head of the Project Management Office, managing critical development programs and resources across therapeutic areas. Mark also contributes as a board member for Round Table Antibiotics and BEAM Alliance, while previously holding senior positions at Arpida Ltd and Eurofins Medinet. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Bristol and Project Management Professional certification.
